Having been active within the kink community for over 5 years I can say with confidence that I know all big parties, websites and applications that cater to our community. Between outdated websites like fetlife, scammy online dating portals and closed-minded vanilla dating apps, there truly was nothing for people with more diverse interests. This is particularly true for the femdom community, which had absolutely no way of finding love. The few meetings, I successfully found, were achieved over years of activity, rejection and difficulty in the constant danger of being scammed or used.
While I did not believe it at first, the day on which Chyrpe went live, was the brightest day that our community of dominant women and submissive men had ever seen. When I first downloaded the application and waited in the global queue for over a month, I was hesitant to think it would be any different.
I was proven wrong. My experience on Chyrpe has made me their supporter until the day I die. After years of feeling that I would never truly find like-minded people, Chyrpe provided our community with the space we didn’t know we needed. Not only does Chyrpe verify all of its users, creating an innate sense of security for all of its users, but the way that they listen to community feedback is like nothing I have ever seen.
Following them actively on Instagram I saw unhappiness regarding not having matching right away, two days later global matching was live. I saw complaints about regions not being live. Weeks later the first regions launched. I saw complaints about a lacking free version and despite them apparently being a bootstrapped start-up, a week later, a free version was live (I would happily have paid).
Chyrpe team, when you reached out to me asking to write about my experiences, I didn’t say yes because I felt honoured. I said yes because this story has to be shared. The femdom community, the submissive men out there, they need to hear the story. They need to know how impossible it was for us to find happiness before you. I voice unequivocally that you, Chyrpe team, are our heroes. Please continue doing what you do. I love your focus that mixes empowerment with the openness and acceptance for kink.
