Does Liking to Be on Top Mean I Might Be Dominant in Other Ways Too?

July 5, 2024

Whether you're new to female-led relationships or already have experience as a dominant woman, questions are normal. In our "Chyrpe Letters" series, we answer questions from our users and our past selves with the kind advice you’d expect from a good friend.

This post covers:

Heyy,

So, you’ve found that you enjoy being on top—fantastic! It's worth noting, though, that enjoying a certain position in the bedroom doesn't necessarily dictate your personality traits outside of it, but it can be enlightening to explore whether this preference touches other areas of your life.

Personally, when I started taking the lead in bed, I discovered how much I loved the autonomy it offered. Being able to kiss my partner whenever I wanted and seeing things from a different perspective was exiting. It wasn’t just about the physical experience; it was about feeling empowered and connected in a new way.

The term "dominant" carries a lot of weight, and true dominance has many layers. You might find that you enjoy leading in some situations but are perfectly content to follow in others. It's all about finding where you feel most comfortable and confident.

Exploring these nuances can be a wonderful journey of self-discovery. Who knows? You might uncover new aspects of your personality that influence how you interact in various aspects of life, not just in intimate moments.

Best wishes,

the chyrpe girl :)
